Snacks and Food

  • Please ensure your child only takes fruit and a bottle of water to their classroom.

Drop off / Pick Up

  • Your child may enter Swot Shop any time in the 15 minute period prior to the start of class.

  • You must be waiting for your child at our front door at the time the lesson is scheduled to finish.

Driving / Parking

  • Please enter our driveway from Columbia Way so that your child can exit safely from the passenger side of your car. To prevent delays, please move off quickly and never attempt to park at our front door.

  • Do not use the spaces labelled Swot Shop Staff on the opposite side of the building.

  • Those using the building in 3 Columbia Way (Springboard Kindy and Year 1) should enter the B2 carpark and escort their child up in the lift.

Absent for Class

  • Make-up classes will be permitted if it is impossible to attend your normal class.

  • Your make-up lesson must be in the same week as your missed lesson remembering that Monday is the start of our week. Use the class timetable on this page for class options.

  • Do NOT contact us, just alert the Receptionist upon your arrival.

  • Only two make-up classes are permitted each term.

  • If you cannot attend a make-up lesson, then send details to missedlesson@swotshop.com.au and the material will be emailed to you. Only one lesson per term can be emailed.

Withdrawals

  • If you decide not to continue with classes, please send an email to enrolment@swotshop.com.au providing details.

  • You will be refunded the credit we are holding less the cost of two lessons per programme.

  • No withdrawals/refunds are possible after Week 15 of Term 4 2023 because students cannot be replaced at this stage.

Entry Tests

  • Tests should only be attempted by those who are already doing well at school.

  • The schedules for Entry Tests can be found on our website – see Entry to Programmes

  • Students who want to make a second attempt at a test must wait for a period of 12 months.

  • The results of all tests are carefully checked prior to sending results and offers are only made to those who appear to be able to benefit from that programme.

  • All Entry Tests are held at the main building: 8 Columbia Way, Baulkham Hills.

  • Students who arrive late cannot be admitted.

  • There are no entry tests for those wanting to join Springboard Preschool or Springboard Kindy.

Programmes

  • Educational progress is most effective if students are grouped into classes which contain a small range of ability levels.

  • Students are not grouped according to their school grade (except for the exam preparation programmes) but rather their ability in that subject area.

  • The initial level is determined from the entry test and then students are assessed each term to determine whether promotion is appropriate.
