Maths Challenge Programme
The focus of the Maths Challenge programme is centred around material created by the Australian Maths Trust (AMT) based at the University of Canberra. This body is responsible for
The Australian Maths Competition, an annual event which attracts more than half a million competitors worldwide.
Maths Challenge for Young Australians which is an enrichment/competition programme for naturally talented high school students. The Swot Shop offers the first two levels: Euler and Gauss.

For most of the year the programmes are designed as a bridge between the current skills and knowledge of the group and that required for the problems and enrichment materials provided by the University. At the completion of this, students are offered general enrichment activities many of which focus on the use of sophisticated Maths computer programmes.
Entry to these classes is restricted to those who can provide evidence of their ability to cope so as to ensure maximum benefit will be derived by the participants. Previous experience in Maths enrichment is essential. |
